Organizational Context and Scope:
Under the overall supervision of CCCM Program Manager, and the direct supervision of the CCCM Operations Officer, the CCCM Area Coordinator Assistant is responsible for the following functions:
Core Functions / Responsibilities:
- Support to organize regular area coordination and information sharing meetings to facilitate coordination between all CCCM partners and other sectoral service providers at area level and to ensure appropriate coordinated response at IDP hosting site in the area
- Maintain effective links with other coordination forums and cluster coordination mechanisms at the area level, especially WASH, Health, Food Security and Livelihoods, Protection, Nutrition and Education.
- Provide regular inputs from the area to the Sub-National cluster coordinator, including: updated data, best practices, consolidated information, etc. and raise key issues as relevant and required, particularly related: communication with communities, complaint and feedback system and community representation forums specifically aimed at increased participation and engagement of women, youth and marginalized groups
- Assist the CCCM operation officer in capacity building for local authorities, local NGOs and community committee, including through carrying out CCCM training for partners to contribute to an effective camp response and raise standards in the sector.
- Under the guidance of the CCCM operation officer, ensure that activities are conducted in line with donor requirements and project documents;
- Support in the development of a programmatic workplan for CCCM activities and procurement plan in line with relevant sector guidelines and standard operating procedures; liaise with the Procurement and Logistics unit throughout the procurement process, and ensure that all items are in line with relevant technical standards;
- Track CCCM interventions, indicators, referrals, and site service provision.
- Support CCCM Ops Officer and Program Manager in coordination with CCCM Cluster, Sub-National CCCM Cluster, Consortium and relevant partners with ensuring that the Referral and Escalation System is functional, and that tracking is maintained; contribute to revising strategies and action plans by drawing lessons learned from past activities and provide inputs
- Support the CCCM operation officer in engaging with local authorities where and if necessary and appropriate
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Education
- University Degree/Certificate or Bachelors degree from an accredited academic institution in Technical field related CCCM/Social Science/Public Relation/Economics/Development Studies/ International Relations.
Experience
- Minimum of years of experience (four Years for University Degree holders) in the implementation of camp coordination and camp management projects, Programme Support, or management field; experience in the International Humanitarian Field is advantageous.
