Mehad mission

Mehad is a French and international health and solidarity NGO established in 2011 by a group of doctors to address the urgent healthcare needs of populations affected by the war in Syria and neighboring countries. In 2022, Mehad expanded to Ukraine in response to the Ukraine war. Recently, Mehad has included Palestine and Yemen in its areas of intervention.
In early 2024, Mehad conducted an exploratory mission to southern Yemen to assess the humanitarian situation, particularly the health system's needs and potential contributions to strengthening it. Based on the findings of this mission, Mehad moveed from assessment to implementation by supporting a health project in Abyan Governorate between August 2024 and July 2025. This project aims to enhance the resilience and stability of the people in northern Abyan by improving their access to quality healthcare services. Mehad aims to develop new activities in the future according to medical needs assessment, in collaboration with MoPIC and MoH.

Position summary

Carrying out or supervising all maintenance logistics activities in the coordination office (vehicles, fuel consumption, and local infrastructure) according to Mehad standards and protocols in order to have the material, infrastructure and vehicles in optimal running conditions

Rôle et Responsabilités

• Planning vehicles movements, tracking individual trips, and ensuring implementation of security measures
• Tracking consumption of supplies, fuel, and other consumables used in the office, storage room and guest house
• Checking the maintenance of the various open spaces
• Performing maintenance of logistics equipment for, energy, IT, in particular inventories and reallocation of equipment
• Preparing orders for his sector activity, do the follow-up, and checking their proper reception and state.
• Carrying out local purchases and ensuring that the line manager is aware of any problems linked to the quality or availability of the items to be purchased.
• Support the Medical Activity Manager in the organization of training session (transport, accommodation of trainees, etc)

Qualifications, experience and skills :

I.    Academic background

[Required]    Essential secondary education

II.    Professional/Practical Experience

[Required]    Working experience of at least two years in relevant and similar jobs

[Preferred]    Experience working with NGOs is desirable

III.    Skills and attitudes
