POSITION SUMMARY:
The Governorate Coordinator will be responsible for the field work and will ensure that day-to-day activities are properly planned and implemented.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Implementation:
- Ensure that all project activities align with the CMAM TSFP and BSFP standards.
- Work closely with district field staff, BSFP distribution monitors, and Warehouse Keepers to ensure smooth implementation.
- Ensure timely and efficient implementation of all activities in line with project objectives.
Support & Coordination:
- Provide regular technical support to Health Workers (HWs) and Community Health Volunteers (CHVs) for CMAM implementation.
- Coordinate with the governmental health office (GHO), district health offices (DHOs), and local authorities to support project activities.
Monitoring & Reporting:
- Regularly monitor field activities and organize review meetings with staff to track progress.
- Conduct frequent field visits to targeted health facilities, mobile clinics, and distribution points.
- Prepare the distribution plan for the health facilities and FDPs, follow up the transportation quotations for TSFP and BSFP Commodities in the governorates, and raise them to the logistics to get the approval of transportation.
- Follow up of commodities and the expiry dates in warehouses, health facilities, and FDPs
- Prepare and share SFP success stories quarterly.
- Prepare project weekly and monthly technical reports.
- Ensure transportation plans align with commodity data in monthly reports.
- Collect, verify, and submit monthly reports from health facilities and distribution points on time.
- Gather reports from HFs and FDPs, verify the accuracy of the data, and ensure that all reports are submitted to KOBO on time and in the required format.
Field Operations & Documentation:
- Lead field operations for SFP and provide daily field updates.
- Preparing the monthly distribution plan for HFs and FDPs.
- Document lessons learned for future project improvements and share insights with the team.
- Ensure proper archiving of reports in the FMF governorate office.
Leadership & Staff Support:
- Lead the field staff team, organizing regular meetings and providing necessary support.
- Raise requests for TSFP, BSFP registers, and records for health facilities and food distribution points.
- Follow up the complaints from SugarCRM and respond to them.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Perform any other duties and tasks as required to success of the project.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in medicine/ public health /other related with strong clinical background.
- At least 3 years’ experience working in the field for health and nutrition program implementation; experience with INGOs required.
- Minimum of 2-year professional experience in team management implementing health and nutrition emergency response programs in a conflict setting.
- Experience in program cycle management and proven ability to manage budget
- Strong Microsoft package skills (MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Fluent in Arabic and English (speaking, reading, writing).
