Job Description:

The Community Mobilizer is responsible for mobilizing and engaging the community in the project intervention areas, follow up Community Health volunteers (CHVs) and ensuring effective communication and participation in project activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a community mobilization plan in collaboration with the project team.
• Support teams in developing monthly and quarterly work plans, including messages to be prioritized and demonstrations to take place.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
• Promote the project's objectives and activities to community members through various communication channels.
• Organize training and exposure to improve the knowledge and skills of the targeted communities and volunteers to deliver high-quality community-based activities.
• Conduct monthly meetings with project staff to discuss all related issues and to put a plan for the coming period.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with community leaders, and relevant stakeholders.
• Mobilize and engage community members to actively participate in project activities.
• Provide regular updates and reports on community mobilization activities, progress, and challenges to the project team.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of community mobilization efforts and suggest improvements as needed.
• Collaborate with project staff to coordinate and integrate community mobilization activities with other project components.
• Help in preparing and submitting success stories to showcase achievements and the project's impact.
• Maintain proper documentation and storage of all project documents, reports, and technical materials.
• Explain project activities, goals, and objectives to the target communities.
• Write monthly reports on the tasks accomplished by community mobilization.
• Identify beneficiaries and collect primary data.
• Participate with the project team during verification and enrolment of new beneficiaries.
• Facilitate any obstacles or difficulties faced by the project team during verification, registration, and distribution.
• Assess and identify beneficiaries (most vulnerable families).
• Encourage the community to select community committees to ensure broad participation.
• Select community committees at the location level, working closely with community stakeholders.
• Follow up Community Health volunteers (CHVs) and collect CHVs reports. 
• Follow up CHVs timesheet and their documents to ensure CHVs tasks are implemented with right manner.
• Act as the focal point with representatives of the community in the targeted district.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the project manager.

Education And Skill Requirement:

• Diploma in administration, Social/ Behavioural Sciences, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in community mobilization or similar roles.
• Has experience in Community Health volunteers
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Good in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Priority given to candidates from the same district.
• Knowledge in English language is an advantage.
