Job Title : CP, GBV Case Management supervisor                    

Reporting to :  Protection Officer                                                                                                          

 Location: 1 Aden, 1 Mukalla , 1 Kharaz                                                                                                                      

Job Purpose                                                                                                                                                   

The Education Officer supports equitable access to quality formal education for refugee and asylum-seeking children by coordinating student support, teacher assistance, community engagement, and school-based protection mechanisms in line with MoE policies, INEE Minimum Standards, and Education Cluster guidance.                                   

Key Responsibilities                                                                                                                                    

  • Monitor and supervise the process of identification / assessment of CP, cases and GBV survivors by CBPNs.
  • Supervise the activities related to Individual Case Management (ICM) for persons of concern in the location of intervention, in accordance with case management steps and with relevant tools and procedures.
  • Support and manage CBPNs in their daily individual/collective PSS/PSFA activities and awareness raising activities.
  • Undertake field visits to provide technical guidance to CBPNs, as well as regularly monitor the-progress of protection activities.
  • Ensure all case management forms are up-to-date and approved by the Protection officer.
  • Ensure that all cases are filed, and that information is reported in detail about the case, background, case plan, follow-up and actions taken.
  • Ensure that the data registered in the files is safe and kept confidential.
  • Take regular samples of intake and assessment forms, checking on the quality and completeness of the case management records and facilitate regular case audits by the Protection officer.
  • Ensure all data is systematically provided to the IM team.                                                    
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date service mapping of the service providers operating in the area and take proactive steps to be informed about available services.
  • Take the lead on internal and external referrals according to established referral pathways and maintain a referral tracker to keep an overview of ongoing and closed referrals.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationship with stakeholders, including partner agencies, community leaders and service providers in the target areas for follow-up and information sharing.
  • Hold regular mentoring and coaching sessions of CBPNs based on identified needs and gaps.
  • Flag any technical shortcomings to the Protection officer and facilitate trainings and on-the-job coaching to social workers.
  • Communicate regularly with teams for updates on achievements and challenges.
  • Present ECA cases for approval to the Protection officer and ensure follow-up with beneficiaries throughout the cash transferring process to confirm receipt of financial assistance, as part of the ICM, in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate hotline staffing plan among CMS and all CBPNs for the location to ensure around-the-clock availability for beneficiaries.
  • Ensure accurate quality reporting on the activities, on weekly/ monthly basis.
  • Maintain regular and positive collaboration with the colleagues to harmonize approaches and methodologies of response.
  • Share challenges and best practices and ensure that protection is mainstreamed into the other sectors of intervention.
  • Provide input on protection trends based on case management data and feedback.
  • Any other task assigned by the protection officer.                                                               

Required Qualifications and Experience                                                                                                 

Education                                                                                                                                                   

  • Bachelor’s degree in in social services.                                                                                  

Experience                                                                                                                                                 

  • Minimum 2- 3 years of professional experience working as Social Worker in Yemen, in particular case management for CP, GBV.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with case management principles, standards and procedures, include relevant roll-out of SOPs for different protection typologies.
  • Demonstrable experience in establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with different sectoral counterparts/referral pathways.                                

Skills                                                                                                                                                           

  • Strong collaboration, representation and negotiation skills.                                          
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.                                             
  • Excellent computer skills (proven computer literacy).                                       
  • Demonstrated experience in staff supervision.                                                 
  • Strong experience with monitoring tools and systems relevant to case management.                      

Languages                                                                                                                                                                                          

  • Proficiency in English is considered an added advantage.
