Family Counseling and Development Foundation
Family Counseling and Development Foundation is a non-governmental humanitarian organization which was established on January 8, 2011 in Yemen. FCDF is specialized in providing mental health and psychosocial support services for 12 years to men, women and children who seek help, including a qualified Yemeni staff who are very specialized in MHPSS.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate equal access to mental health services and enhance the well-being of individuals with mental health conditions, their caregivers, households, and communities.
- Conduct comprehensive individual assessments of clients, considering both mental and physical health needs.
- Develop and implement services that cater to the diverse needs of clients and their caregivers, ensuring holistic care.
- Improve the physical health of individuals with mental health conditions by addressing both their mental and physical health concerns.
- Assess, mitigate, and manage risks to individuals, others, and potential risks stemming from external sources.
- Reduce social isolation and help individuals regain control over their lives, addressing trauma related to isolation, and fostering self-regulation.
- Provide psychological and therapeutic support to individuals and deliver appropriate mental health treatments.
- Ensure continuous, safe, and high-quality care for beneficiaries, prioritizing their safety and that of caregivers during transitions between or within services.
- Refer cases of severe mental health issues requiring long-term care to specialized mental health facilities equipped to provide sustainable care.
- Comply with the administrative regulations outlined by project management to maintain effective project operations.
- Uphold the organization's work ethics and code of conduct in all professional interactions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned within the scope of mental health services.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Psychiatry or an equivalent in a related field.
- Or PhD in Psychiatry.
- Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of experience in the same field, or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience in the same field, with sufficient experience in the humanitarian and protection sectors.
- Courses in Psychiatry, courses in solving psychological problems, trauma, autism, and advanced courses in dealing with gender-based violence cases.
- Focus on beneficiary service and the ability to communicate and solve problems.
- Familiarity with diagnostic principles and early intervention for cases.
- Empathy, understanding, and professional handling of cases.
- Knowledge of all policies, procedures, and regulations related to the field of work.
- Analytical skills and report preparation.
- Ability to define performance indicators related to the position.
- Effective resource management.
- Proficiency in English.
