Telecom Field Engineer (BTS/MW/WDM) (10 Positions)

Job Description

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Telecom Site Engineer (10 Positions) to join our growing team to be work in multiple Governorates in Yemen. You will be responsible for performing site surveys (LOS, BTS/NodeB, BSC/RNC, Survey Service, MAE/U2000, and Survey Service), supervision cabinet's and racks installations, connecting all wiring and cabling based on the site design drawings. Besides ensure that all operations must strictly comply with vendor equipment installation guides and the engineering specifications of the telecom carrier. In addition to commissioning, and maintenance of telecommunications sites infrastructure, including (BBUs)-(RRUs), antenna systems, microwave (MW) equipments, and WDM system components. Performing PAT for Wireless sites and MW links as well. 

Responsibilities (The responsibilities are specified but not limited as follows):

• Responsible for Site Delivery including site survey and drawings, BTS, MW, Site-Power, and sometimes WDM installations and commissioning in compliance with all technical specifications and safety standards.
• Design of equipment room drawings such as the layout drawing, and cable routing drawing (marking installation positions, power cables, ground cables, service cables, and monitoring cables) and producing detailed drawings on Auto-CAD.
• Health and safety legislation on construction sites as well as managing safety documentations.
• Carry-out and guide alignment of antenna for both microwave and BTS.
• Installation and commissioning of optical WDM Frame and conducting Basic Acceptance (1.Design verification ID, IP and Name setting. 2. Device and card specification testing) and commissioning (1.Links BER, RFC, Y1564 and switch testing 2.Testing report preparation and submission).
• Install and configure microwave (MW) equipments for backhaul connectivity.
• Commissioning and testing all installed equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Mounting/unmourning of cabinet, racks and hardware.
• Experience with using a Fiber scope, (OTDR, Optical power Meter, etc.)
• Managing physical installation of telecom & power equipments (e.g. wiring, cabling, Telecom instruments, microwave/WDM communication modules, necessary interface cards, modems, switches, routers, multiplexors, equipment racks, Batteries Cabinets, cable tray and cable ladder).
• Installation of BSC/RNC/M2000/PRS. 
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunication infrastructure.
• Identify and resolve any technical issues promptly and efficiently.
• Document all installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other technicians and engineers.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
• Perform other assigned tasks by TL or PM.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in telecommunications engineering or equivalent. 
• Minimum 5 years of field experience in one or more of the required fields (BTS/MW/WDM installation, commissioning and software tools).
• Good Knowledge with NetEco server commissioning and site-power is a plus.
• Experience with Installation, commissioning and integration of multiple vendors of telecom systems.
• Proven knowledge of BTS technologies, Antenna systems, DWDM sites and MW equipments & alignment.
• Strong understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles.
• Excellent climbing and working-at-heights skills.
• Ability to lift and manage heavy equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Understanding of IP and Routing of cables
• Experience in Switch Facility Installation and Decommissioning, including power, transport, cabinets and cable ladders.
• Leadership personality to lead installation team.
• Valid driver’s license.
