Job summary: The Firefighter is responsible for responding to fire emergencies, rescue operations, and hazardous incidents to protect lives, property, and the environment. The role involves operating firefighting equipment, providing emergency assistance, and supporting fire prevention and safety activities while maintaining physical fitness and adhering to safety regulations and operational procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities 

1.    Respond quickly to fire alarms, emergency incidents, and rescue operations.
2.    Extinguish fires and control fire spread using appropriate firefighting techniques and equipment.
3.    Rescue and assist injured or trapped individuals during emergency situations.
4.    Provide clear instructions and reassurance to victims during emergencies.
5.    Operate and assist in driving firefighting vehicles and equipment when required.
6.    Handle hazardous materials safely and follow proper safety procedures.
7.    Participate in fire prevention activities and safety awareness programs.
8.    Maintain firefighting equipment and ensure it is ready for emergency use.
9.    Work effectively as part of a team during emergency and rescue operations.
10.    Follow all safety regulations and instructions issued by supervisors.
11.    Maintain high physical fitness and readiness to respond to emergencies at any time.
12.    Perform duties in all working conditions as required by the nature of firefighting operations

Skills and Educational Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma required; Diploma in Safety or Firefighting is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in health, safety, or environmental fields.
• License: Valid Category D driving license preferred (for fire truck operation).
• Age: Between 18 and 30 years.
• Height: 155 cm and 185 cm.
• Physical & Health: Fit, medically healthy, free from heart conditions, and able to handle physically demanding tasks.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong teamwork and communication skills, especially under emergency conditions.
• Emotionally stable, reliable, and committed to professional ethics.
• Basic technical understanding of fire behavior and safe handling of hazardous materials.

Training: Completion of recognized Firefighting Academy courses is preferred.
