Al-Salam Hospital is looking for Yemeni nationals to be recruited for the following position:

ANAESTHESIA NURSE/ TECHNICIAN

Location: Amran Governorate – Khamer
Contract type: Volunteer with MOH.
Reporting to: OT Supervisor

Assisting the doctor anaesthetist with all anaesthetic medical activities (pre-anaesthesia evaluation, administration of anaesthesia, recovery period, specific pharmacy, equipment, general organization, etc.) according to MOH policies, protocols and universal hygiene standards, in order to ensure the quality of pre, during and post-operative care of patients.

In the frame of these activities, he/she will:

• Assisting the doctor in the consultations to patients due for surgery: evaluating the risks of operating (in collaboration with the surgeon), obtaining patient’s written authorization for their operation, providing patients with appropriate information on their illness and treatments, and deciding on what type of anesthetics to be used in order to collaborate in setting everything up before surgery
• According to set procedures, carrying out all nursing anesthetics related activities during surgery in order to collaborate in patient's adequate anaesthetized state and safety during the process. Preparing the drugs, material, and equipment required for the surgery. Monitoring patients throughout the whole intervention and administering and maintaining anaesthetics following the rules of hygiene and asepsis in force.
• Assisting the doctor in providing post-operative care, including immediate post-operative surveillance in the recovery room and special patients present in the intensive care unit, in order to adapt the prescriptions during the stabilization and recovery process. Performing consultation rounds with the Surgeon Doctor once or twice a day, discussing therapeutic orientations with the department manager, renewing prescriptions and ensuring they are followed and systematically evaluating patients' pain to adapt prescriptions and/or therapies for their relief. 
• Respects, promotes and ensures medical confidentiality.
• Perform cleaning and minor maintenance for biomedical equipment used. Follow user manual and protocols and alert supervisor in case of malfunctioning of any device.List item
• Implements and follows hygiene rules, procedures and protocols at all times as well as look after the integrity of anaesthesia material (decontamination, sterilisation, storage conditions, etc.)  in order to ensure the safety and protection of patients and other staff. Knows accidental blood exposure policy and procedure and implements them when necessary.   
• Carries out all pharmacy related activities (stock control, station's re-stocking, inventories, expired drugs, etc.) and other equipment of anaesthetic ward, doing special follow-up of narcotics and sedatives (register, consumptions, empty phials, etc.), ensuring enough stock-up and the good functioning to carry-out the medical activities. Draws up pharmacy orders according to needs. 
• Collaborates with other departments and supports other medical services in order to support the overall activities with his/her expertise and capabilities. Trains other medical staff when applicable and works particularly in close collaboration with the accident and emergency department and the midwifery and obstetrics team in the maternity department (especially to resuscitate new-borns).
• Carries out administrative procedures and documents (fill in of patients files, forms, statistics, data base, etc.), in order to have updated and correct information about the day-to-day activities. 
• In collaboration with the Surgeon Doctor, carries out quantitative surgical-anesthesia data collection, draws up and sends out reports for the monthly follow up of peri-surgical mortality and for the quality of anesthesia/pain management and informs the direct supervisor immediately in the event of medical error.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Essential:  

• Anesthetics nurse Diploma 

Essential:

• Valid Medical License  
•  If the applicant works in any health facility, whether private or governmental, the applicant is required to bring discharge of liability from this facility.

Experience:

• Essential 1 year of previous supervised work experience as an anaesthetist nurse

Language:

• Fluency in Arabic (English communication skills will be an added advantage)
• Experience in other NGO’s and /or developing countries is desirable

مساعدة طبيب التخدير في جميع الأنشطة الطبية التخديرية (تقييم ما قبل التخدير، وإدارة التخدير، وفترة الإفاقة، والصيدلة المحددة، والمعدات    ، والتنظيم العام، وما إلى ذلك) وفقًا لسياسات منظمة أطباء بلا حدود ووزارة الصحة وبروتوكولاتها ومعايير النظافة العامة. لضمان جودة الرعاية قبل وأثناء وبعد الجراحة للمرضى.

في إطار هذه الأنشطة سوف يقوم بما يلي:

• مساعدة الطبيب في الاستشارات للمرضى فيما يتعلق بالجراحة: تقييم مخاطر الجراحة (بالتعاون مع الجراح) ، والحصول على إذن كتابي من المريض لإجراء العملية، وتزويد المرضى بالمعلومات المناسبة عن مرضهم وعلاجهم، واتخاذ قرار بشأن ما هو نوع التخدير الذي يجب استخدامه من أجل التعاون في إعداد كل شيء قبل الجراحة.
• وفقًا للإجراءات المحددة، القيام بتنفيذ جميع أنشطة التمريض المتعلقة بالتخدير أثناء الجراحة من أجل التعاون في التخدير المناسب لحالة المريض وسلامته أثناء العملية. تحضير الأدوية والمواد والمعدات اللازمة للجراحة. مراقبة المرضى طوال فترة التدخل وإدارة التخدير والحفاظ عليه باتباع قواعد النظافة والتعقيم المعمول بها. 
• مساعدة الطبيب في توفير رعاية ما بعد الجراحة، بما في ذلك المراقبة الفورية بعد الجراحة في غرفة الإنعاش والمرضى الموجودين في وحدة العناية المركزة، من أجل تكييف الوصفات المسبقة أثناء الحفاظ على استقرار الحالة والتعافي. إجراء جولات استشارية مع الطبيب الجراح مرة أو مرتين يوميًا، ومناقشة التوجهات العلاجية مع مشرف القسم، وتجديد الوصفات الطبية والتأكد من اتباعها وتقييم آلام المرضى بشكل منهجي لتكييف الوصفات الطبية و / أو العلاجات لتخفيف الآلام.
• احترام وتعزيز وضمان السرية الطبية.
• إجراء التنظيف والصيانة البسيطة للمعدات الطبية الحيوية المستخدمة. اتباع دليل المستخدم والبروتوكولات وتنبيه المشرف في حالة حدوث خلل في أي جهاز.
• تنفيذ وتتبع قواعد وإجراءات وبروتوكولات النظافة في جميع الأوقات وكذلك رعاية سلامة مواد التخدير (إزالة التلوث، والتعقيم، وظروف التخزين، وما إلى ذلك) من أجل ضمان سلامة وحماية المرضى وغيرهم من الموظفين. معرفة سياسة وإجراءات التعرض العرضي للدم وتنفيذها عند الضرورة. 
• يقوم بجميع الأنشطة المتعلقة بالصيدلة (مراقبة المخزون، إعادة ملئ مكان التخزين، قوائم الجرد، الأدوية منتهية الصلاحية، إلخ) وغيرها من معدات قسم التخدير، والقيام بمتابعة خاصة لأدوية التخدير والمهدئات (سجل، استهلاك، قوارير فارغة، إلخ)، مما يضمن مخزونًا كافيًا وحسن سير العمل للقيام بالأنشطة الطبية. ملئ أوامر الصيدلية حسب الحاجة.
• يتعاون مع الأقسام الأخرى ويدعم الخدمات الطبية الأخرى من أجل دعم مشروع منظمة أطباء بلا حدود الشامل بخبرته وقدراته. تدريب الطاقم الطبي الآخر عند الاقتضاء ويعمل بشكل خاص بالتعاون الوثيق مع قسم الحوادث والطوارئ وفريق القبالة والتوليد في قسم الولادة (خاصة لإنعاش المواليد الجدد).
• تنفيذ الإجراءات والوثائق الإدارية (ملء ملفات المرضى، والنماذج، والإحصاءات، وقاعدة البيانات، وما إلى ذلك) ، من أجل الحصول على معلومات محدثة وصحيحة حول الأنشطة اليومية.
• بالتعاون مع الطبيب الجراح، القيام بجمع بيانات التخدير الجراحي الكمي، ووضع وارسال التقارير للمتابعة الشهرية لمعدل الوفيات قبل الجراحة ولجودة التخدير / إدارة الألم وإبلاغ المشرف المباشر على الفور في حالة حدوث خطأ طبي.

 المؤهلات والمهارات المطلوبة:

• أساسي: دبلوم ممرض تخدير
• أساسي: ترخيص مزاولة المهنة ساري المفعول
• في حالة أن يكون المتقدم يعمل في أي منشأة صحية سواء خاصة او حكومية، المطلوب وثيقة أخلاء طرف من هذه المنشأة.
• أساسي: سنة 1خبرة سابقة في العمل كممرض تخدير 
• إتقان التحدث باللغة العربية وستكون مهارة التحدث باللغة الإنجليزية ميزة إضافية 
• خبرة في المنظمات غير الحكومية الأخرى و / أو البلدان النامية أمر مرغوب فيه
• مهارات الكمبيوتر الأساسية مرغوبة
