Job Description
The Human Resources Officer is responsible for managing and supporting all HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance with organizational policies. The role ensures efficient HR service delivery and supports organizational objectives through effective people management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process including job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases in a confidential and accurate manner.
- Support performance management processes including appraisals and staff development plans.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, organizational policies, and HR procedures.
- Handle employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR policies.
- Coordinate training and capacity-building programs for staff.
- Prepare HR reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for management.
- Manage payroll inputs, leave balances, and employee benefits administration.
- Support disciplinary procedures and grievance handling in line with policies.
- Ensure adherence to the organization’s Code of Conduct and safeguarding policies.
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures.
- Perform any other HR-related duties assigned by management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in HR.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and labor laws.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
