Position Title: Junior Field Assistant (AAP)
Unit: Protection
Duty Station: Aden - Yemen
Type of Contract: Sub-Contract to Stars Orbit Consultants and Management Development / Monthly Contract
Duration of Appointment: Three (3) months, with possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds

Context/Reporting line:
Under the general guidance of the Chief of Mission (COM) for Yemen, the overall supervision of the Programme Support Coordinator and direct supervision of the Senior M&E assistant, the Junior field assistant AAP will be responsible and accountable for supporting the implementation of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) activities in IOM Yemen
Core Functions / Responsibilities
1. Provide AAP briefings and trainings to IOM team members, implementing partners and affiliated organizations as requested.
2. Work closely with M&E team to conduct case studies and monitoring in IOM’s interventions.
3. Support Community Feedback team in receiving, recording, processing, and responding to complaints and feedback received from Migrants (mainly speaking Oromo, Amharic and Tigrinya), IDPs, and HCs through IOM CFMs according to the IOM CFM SOPs.
4. Contribute to operation of CFMs, especially in migrants’ response points, MRPs and IDPs sites in close coordination with the mission Community Feedback team.
5. Undertake duty travel as required.
6. Perform any other duties as may be assigned
Required Qualifications
Education:
- High diploma from an accredited academic institution in relevant disciplines, with a minimum of two years’ experience;
Experience and Skills:
- Good knowledge of and experience with humanitarian guidelines and principles.
- Experience in collecting data through both qualitative and quantitative approaches.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Stays open to internal and external feedback.
- Willingness and ability to continue to function during a crisis, including during an IOM emergency response to a manmade or disaster
- Good communication skills.

Languages:
- For this position, fluency in migrant’s languages mainly Oromo, Amharic and Tigrinya. is required (oral and written)
