2.    Job Profile

The Yemen Project Facilitation Pharmacist will support project activities in Aden. The primary responsibilities include working alongside the Project Manager in coordinating the activities of the project, particularly the technical activities focused on the suppliers and led by the Quamed technical experts.

3.    Key Responsibilities 

• Orientate to the project
• Orientate to the RI Yemen program, including policies, security protocols, etc, as necessary
• Read background project and supplier documents
• Participating in weekly project team meetings 
• Coordinate remote and in-person visits between external experts and suppliers
• Support Quamed technical experts during remote and on-site technical support
• Follow up with suppliers to implement actions agreed with the technical experts
• Ensuring smooth communication and documentation of project-related activities, including visit notes and photos
• Work collaboratively with project team and other RI departments
• Support other project activities as required and requested by Project Manager

4.    Qualifications & Skills Requirements

Essential Competencies:

• Health sector experience (min. 10 years) 
• Extensive familiarity with NGO health sector in the country
• Medical product supply and procurement experience
• Familiarity with WHO Good Storage and Distribution Practices (completion of Quamed Learning course is advantageous)
• Team player
• Fluency in written and oral English

Desirable Competencies:

• Pharmacist (MSc in pharmacy), Supply Chain, Public Health or relevant studies
• Familiar with quality improvement plans and their implementation
• Medical product quality assurance experience and/or ISO 9001 experience
• Familiar with RI Local Medical Supplier Development Project
• Experience with private supplier industry

5.    Behavior and Conduct

• Will be a model for ethical conduct standards for other team members
• Will ensure own actions and the actions of the teams members they manage do not impact the safety of the RI team and the vulnerable communities we serve
