Job Title : Sales Engineer

Job Objective

Ruya Energy Company, a subsidiary of the Hayel Saeed Anam Group (HSA) specializing in solar energy projects, is currently seeking a Solar Sales Engineer.

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies for solar energy systems, providing clients with suitable technical solutions in solar energy, wind energy, energy storage, and energy efficiency. The role also involves supporting the sales process through technical consultations, preparing proposals, and ensuring customer requirements are met in compliance with engineering and commercial standards.

Main tasks and Responsibilities

1) Sales Management & Business Development:

  • Identify new opportunities in the solar energy market and expand the customer base.
  • Promote solar energy systems and engage with potential customers.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals and negotiate with clients to close deals.
  • Develop detailed proposals, including system specifications, cost estimates, and return on investment (ROI) calculations.

2) Technical Support & Consulting:

  • Analyze customer requirements and provide customized solutions that meet their needs.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analyze the economic returns of solar energy projects.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers regarding solar energy systems.

3) Coordination & Project Management:

  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure proposals align with technical standards.
  • Monitor the implementation of solutions and offer recommendations for performance improvement.

4) Sales & Marketing:

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients while seeking new market opportunities.
  • Present sales proposals and quotations to prospective customers.
  • Promote products and services through innovative sales strategies.
  • Identify business opportunities and build long-term relationships with customers.
  • Manage the entire sales process from negotiation to contract closure.
  • Work with management to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Stay up to date with the latest technologies and products in the solar energy field.
  • Analyze market trends and competition to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to enhance business relationships.

5) Other Tasks:

  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the direct supervisor.

Internal & External Relationship

  • Internally: All employees in the company
  • Externally: Individual and organization clients, local and global companies, sub-contractors, Agents, Suppliers and engineers or consultants

Position Requirements

Qualifications    

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Practical experience in solar energy sales or renewable energy solutions. 
  • Deep knowledge of solar energy systems and technologies. 
  • Proficiency in energy and design software such as Helioscope and PVsyst. 
  • Proficiency in English.

Experience    

  • 3-5 years of experience In the field of sales, preferably in solar energy sales.

Skills

  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. 
  • Ability to work under pressure. 
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Willingness to travel to client locations. 
  • Ability to work within a team and achieve sales targets.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with clients.
  • Conduct site surveys (roof/land space, shading analysis, load profile).
  • Perform system sizing and energy yield calculations.
  • Support tendering/bidding processes with technical documentation.
  • Create drawings, schematics, and BOQs (Bill of Quantities).

Work Environment:    

  • Office work with frequent field visits to customer sites. 
  • Travel to project locations and conduct on-site assessments as needed. 
  • Working under pressure to meet sales objectives.
