Job Title: Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Coordinator to manage and optimize our procurement and logistics operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services, coordinating logistics operations, and ensuring the smooth flow of materials throughout our supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, logistics, and inventory management, with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Management: 

Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management, to ensure that all materials and services are acquired and delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Sourcing and Supplier Relationship Management: 

  1. Source and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct due diligence, and maintain an updated database of approved vendors. Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues that may arise.
  2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. 
  3. Negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance, and address any issues that may arise to ensure the quality and reliability of the supply chain.

Procurement Coordination: 

  1. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and specifications.
  2. Create, track, and manage purchase orders within the SAP system.
  3. Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, obtaining quotes, placing orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
  4. Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals.

Logistics Oversight: 

  1. Coordinate logistics activities, including the movement of goods from suppliers to our facilities. 
  2. Coordinate with shipping companies and forwarders to manage the transportation of goods, ensuring competitive rates and efficient transit times.

Inventory Management: 

  1. Maintain optimal inventory levels by monitoring stock and managing reordering processes.

Customs clearance: 

  1. Ensure all procurement and shipping documents are accurately prepared.
  2. Work with customs brokers to facilitate the clearance of goods and resolve any issues that may arise during the process.

Risk and Quality Management: 

  1. Identify potential risks in the supply chain, such as delays or quality issues, and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
  2. Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement and logistics activities. This includes managing insurance for cargo and ensuring that all shipments are adequately covered.

Performance Reporting: 

  1. Monitor the status of orders, and prepare reports on procurement and logistics activities.
  2. Present regular reports on supply chain activities, including supplier performance, logistics efficiency, inventory status, and cost analysis. 
  3. Use data-driven insights to identify opportunities for improvement.

Continuous Improvement: 

  1. Stay updated on industry trends, new regulations, and best practices in supply chain management. 
  2. Proactively seek ways to enhance the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability of the supply chain.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience using SAP or other ERP system for procurement activities.
  3. Experience in supply chain coordination, with a strong understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
