تعلن مؤسسة مودة للمرأة والطفل التنموية م/ لحج 

عن حاجتها للتعاقد مع استشاري لدراسة السوق وتقديم الخدمات التالية 

1-    سيقوم بكافة الإجراءات الخاصة بمسح السوق 
2-    سيقوم بتدريب وتأهيل فريق من المتطوعين لجمع البيانات وتحليلها 
3-    الاشراف المباشر على الفريق 
4-    رفع التقرير النهائي للمسح

Job Title:  Market Assessment Consultant (1)
Location: Lahj -AL-Hawta district 
Contract Type: Full Time.
Contract Duration: 1 month.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
 
The objective of the market assessment is to gather relevant data that addresses the specific needs and circumstances and to identify potential livelihood trainings topics of the targeted community in Lahj. Based on the findings of market assessment will identify, plan and organize livelihood training courses and will serve as a guide for the development of effective project interventions that prioritize on microbusiness opportunities. The assessment will focus on various aspects of gathers data on food consumption, income generation, market dynamics, and resource access. The assessment will help the project to develop targeted programs and interventions to improve food security and livelihood opportunities within the community 

1-    The market assessment will be conducted at the community and business level, using the Market Opportunity Survey (MOS) to identify skills that are in demand and to ensure participants have opportunities to create their own business and/or find employment to fill the gaps identified in the market assessment.

Scope of Work: 

  • Conducting the market assessment. Gather the information through (surveys, FGD and KII) and in the market and the community. 
  • Develop appropriate methods and tools to collect data by using tools such as surveys, FGD. KII or guides.   
  • Collecting relevant data and information such as information about existing microbusinesses or competitors operating in the same market, also data about their products/services, pricing strategies, marketing tactics, strengths, weaknesses, and customer feedback.
  • Organize the collected data in a structured way and use the suitable methods to analyze Data and reach meaningful findings.
  • Identify and evaluate potential microbusiness opportunities within the market by conducting thorough research, analysis, and market assessments.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with each microbusiness opportunity, such as changing customer preferences, economic fluctuations, or regulatory changes. This allows businesses to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of the market assessment to the project. This includes identifying the specific goals, objectives, and desired outcomes of the assessment, and developing a comprehensive plan to execute and deliver the assessment effectively.
  • Documenting the findings of the market assessment and presenting them to project’s team. This includes preparing comprehensive reports, presentations, and recommendations based on the assessment results.

Deliverables:

  • Organized and analyzed data collected during the market assessment.
  • comprehensive report summarizing the findings of the marketing assessment.
  • Recommendations for improving project’s interventions.
  • Suggestions for implementing the recommended changes.
  • A presentation to share the assessment findings and recommendations with relevant.
  • Produced individual reports on existing microbusinesses with high potential in the targeted areas.

Qualifications & Experience:     

  • The consultant should have Academic degree in economics, development studies, social sciences, or related fields.  
  • at least five years of relevant experience in conducting market assessments, 
  • Excellent analyses skills including the usage of Microsoft office.
  • Very good Report writing and planning skills.
  • Very good spoken and written Arabic and English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • available to start the assignment as soon as possible and complete it within 4 weeks.
