Department Background:

The Food Security and Livelihood (FSL)Programs Division closely works with the country program team in identifying, planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating development and emergency projects and programs in collaboration with local, national, and international partners.
Currently, FSL focuses on the Recovery and Development of strategic areas and supports communities to develop a sustainable livelihood, coherent microfinance system and food security based on social cohesion and community participation to support communities affected by conflict, natural and man-made disasters. The overall objectives of the FSL division are to alleviate poverty and suffering of human kinds by providing them with long term sustainable program, improve the health conditions of the targeted beneficiaries,  increase access to food for vulnerable families through involvement in conditional cash interventions such as Unconditional Cash Assistance, Cash for Work (CFW), Cash for Apprenticeship (CFA), and Food for Assets (FFA) programs, increase households income, and rehabilitees food security assets in areas with a high level of food insecurity, where vulnerable households’ livelihood assets are at near collapse and coping strategies are almost exhausted leading to spiraling extreme coping behaviors like sale of houses, land, and productive assets which is greatly compromising their household food security status and reduce malnutrition rate of women and children in collaboration with international donors, INGOs, and UN agencies.

Purpose and objective:

The Data management Consultant primary role is to develop professional data collection, analysis, and reporting tool and ensure systems are in place for the collection, reporting, and analysis of all relevant project data, as per standards and frequency set. In addition, support the project team in data quality and verification, as well as in the dissemination and strengthening of data collection and management tools and systems across the project. He/she will work very closely with the Project Officer/Coordinator to ensure the project data.

Consultant Activities:

• Develop systematic data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.
• Work closely with the Project Officer/Coordinator to assist in data quality control measures.
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical of the selected beneficiaries applied in the links.
• Enter data into appropriate fields database, records, and file
• Create and organize spreadsheets regular checks to ensure data is saved and stored properly.
• Verifying data correctly, checking and comparing sources documentation.
• Organizing paper formats papers backups, and provides ongoing reports
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain database / data systems.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Direct Supervisor.

Deliverables:

• Data collection, analysis, and reporting tools.
• Filtered data of the applying beneficiaries and implement database of accepted beneficiaries and not accepted according to the beneficiary’s selection criteria.
• Clarify the reason for accepting the beneficiary or not 
• Achievements Reports.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Diploma degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related Field 
• One year of direct experience in Data management clerk positions preferably in humanitarian NGOs 
• English and Arabic Languages (Writing and speaking) are required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
• Typing at least 45words per minute.
• Advance excel skills.
