Backend / Frontend Developer (Fintech)

A well-established fintech company operating in the Yemeni market is looking for high-caliber
Backend and Frontend Developers who are passionate about building robust, secure, and scalable digital products. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java and Kotlin, ensuring stability and performance.
• Work extensively with Android SDK, APIs system, and modern mobile application architecture.
• Implement MVVM / Clean Architecture principles and adhere to clean code and software engineering best practices.
• Integrate and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring efficient data handling and seamless backend communication.
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize application performance to ensure reliability in production environments.
• Collaborate effectively with Backend, Product, and UI/UX teams to deliver cohesive and user- focused solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high development standards.
• Design and develop scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, maintain, and enhance RESTful APIs that support mobile and web applications.
• Ensure system security, scalability, and high availability, following backend and application best practices.
• Optimize backend workflows, services, and database interactions for performance and efficiency.
• Work closely with mobile, frontend, and product teams to align technical implementation with business requirements.
• Contribute to technical architecture decisions, system improvements, and long-term platform evolution.
• Experience in Fintech or payment systems is considered a strong advantage.

Required Experience & Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in the relevant development role.
• Solid understanding of software engineering principles and the SDLC.
• High commitment to code quality, security, and performance.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a computing environment with multiple programming languages, Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with design and development of REST API platform using APIM, converting web services from SOAP to REST.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g. JWT, OAuth2).
• Experience in API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications etc.
• Proficiency in SQL and stored procedures (e.g. Oracle or similar relational databases).
• Comfortable working in Linux based environments.
• Experience in creating and maintaining REST API documentation.
• Experience with Integration frameworks desirable
