Brand, Content & Growth Lead
A professional workspace and managed delivery company in Aden is looking for one specific person: someone who can design a social media post, write the caption in two languages, schedule it, track its performance, walk into a meeting with a potential client, and close the deal — all in the same week. If that sounds like too many things for one person, this role is not for you. If that sounds like a normal Tuesday, keep reading.
You are not joining a marketing department. You are the marketing department. You build it from zero.
What Your Days Will Actually Look Like
- Morning: Review yesterday’s analytics. Respond to all DMs, comments, and inquiries. Draft today’s scheduled post — visual + caption in Arabic and English.
- Mid-morning: Design and produce content: Instagram carousel, LinkedIn thought-leadership post for the CEO, WhatsApp broadcast graphic, one-page flyer for a client pitch. You design these yourself.
- Afternoon: Service brochures, client presentations, email campaigns. Update the content calendar. Coordinate with CEO on client meetings. Take photos of the hub for content.
- Weekly: Minimum 4 posts/week per platform. Weekly marketing report: followers, engagement, inquiries, leads. At least 1 client or partner meeting.
- Monthly: Marketing dashboard: channel growth, content performance, lead-to-conversion funnel. Plan next month’s calendar. Execute or support at least 1 event.

Key Responsibilities
A. Brand & Visual Identity + Content Creation (40%)
- Personally design and produce all social media posts, stories, reels, carousels using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or equivalent.
- Create branded materials: flyers, brochures, event banners, digital ads, WhatsApp broadcast graphics, presentation decks.
- Write all copy in Arabic and English: captions, website content, blog posts, newsletters, case studies, press releases.
- Maintain consistent visual identity aligned with Kayan’s brand guidelines: Deep Teal (#0D4F4F), Golden Ochre (#C8962E).
- Produce short video content: event recaps, talent spotlights, behind-the-scenes clips, launch countdown material.
- Photograph events, workspace moments, and team activities for an authentic content library.
B. Social Media Management (25%)
- Own all accounts: Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp Business.
- Build and execute weekly content calendar: minimum 5 posts/week across platforms.
- Daily engagement: respond to comments, answer DMs, participate in community conversations.
- Monitor analytics weekly: followers, engagement rate, reach, conversion to inquiries. Report to CEO every Sunday.
- Run community campaigns: talent spotlight series, client success stories, workspace tours.
C. Marketing Strategy & Campaigns (20%)
- Develop Year 1 marketing strategy: positioning, target audiences, channel mix, budget allocation.
- Plan and execute launch campaign (May 2026): countdown content, launch event, founding member drive.
- Design campaigns per business line: Hub memberships, Managed Delivery clients, Academy enrollment.
- Build email marketing system: newsletter templates, subscriber management, performance tracking.
- Track all marketing KPIs and calculate Customer Acquisition Cost per channel.
D. Growth, Sales Support & Client Materials (15%)
- Design client-facing proposal templates, pitch decks, and service catalogs.
- Support CEO in investor meetings, partnership presentations, and INGO engagements.
- Create and maintain Kayan website content: pages, blog, SEO.
- Generate and track leads from digital channels.
- Plan and promote Hub events; capture and publish post-event content within 24 hours.

Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Demonstrable portfolio of social media content you have personally designed and published. You must submit samples.
- Hands-on design proficiency: Canva Pro, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, or Figma. You design from a blank canvas.
- Strong creative writing in both Arabic and English — you write every word Kayan publishes.
- Professionally managed at least one social media account (not personal) for minimum 6 months with measurable growth.
- Video editing: short-form content using CapCut, Premiere Rush, or equivalent.
- Aden-based and available 6 days/week on-site.
- Smartphone with good camera and willingness to photograph/film on location.
- Natural eye for visual composition, typography, and color — professional-quality output.
Desirable Qualifications
- Degree or training in marketing, communications, graphic design, or journalism.
- SEO, Google Analytics, social media advertising (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads) experience.
- Photography or videography beyond smartphone level.
- Startup or agency environment experience.
- Email marketing tools (Mailchimp, ConvertKit) familiarity.
- Understanding of the Aden/Yemen market, INGO landscape, and local business culture.
- Sales instinct — understanding that marketing serves revenue.

Stage 2 — Creative Test
Shortlisted candidates receive a design brief: create a 1-week content plan for a fictional professional workspace launch, including 2 designed posts and 2 captions (Arabic + English). 48-hour turnaround.
Stage 3 — Competency & Technical Interview
60-minute in-person interview with the CEO at Kayan Hub. Includes a live content critique exercise.
