Background

NRC has been actively engaged in Shelter/WASH sector in Yemen, with good presence in Lahj, Taiz, Marib and Abyan governorates, where conflict and repeated displacement continue to disrupt IDPs access to safe and quality living include Shelter and WASH facilities. The ongoing humanitarian crisis has left displaced population under-resourced, overcrowded, and vulnerable to future shocks. NRC’s Shelter/CCCM/WASH interventions in Lahj, Taiz, Marib and Abyan focus on restoring good quality living condition opportunities for crisis-affected displacement population, supporting community-based planning, and promoting inclusive and protective environments.
Camp Management Information Management Assistant activities at the CRC by collecting, updating, and verifying site-level data related to IDP populations, services, and movements. The role ensures accurate and timely field data under supervision.

Responsibilities

Roles and responsibilities

As part of community resource center (CRC) team in Marib, the role of Camp Management Information Management Assistant centers on coordinating, monitoring, and delivering essential services to internally displaced persons (IDPs) in line with established standards. This position is crucial for managing all databases related to IDP sites, including population lists, movement tracking, and service records, ensuring timely and accurate updates to support operational planning. Camp Management Information Management Assistant will conduct assessments and aid in beneficiary selection while overseeing field activities to guarantee the collection of reliable, high-quality data.


Generic Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines.

  2. Support implementation of Shelter/WASH and CCCM activities according to the plan of action.

  3. Collect population data, service information, and site observations from IDP sites.

  4. Support updating IDP lists, movement tracking, and basic site information.

  5. Assist in maintaining simple databases, trackers, and paper records.

  6. Verify field data accuracy through routine checks and follow-ups.

  7. Support preparation of daily or weekly data summaries for supervisors.

  8. Assist during assessments, registrations, and monitoring exercises.

  9. Compliance and adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures, and a specific responsibility for the functions policies and procedures.


Specific responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine site visits to collect CCCM-related data.
  • Update population and service tracking sheets.
  • Submit daily field notes and completed forms to supervisors.
  • Support CRC data organization and filing.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the context in Yemen
  • Basic Knowledge of English and the local language
