Job Summary
The Case Management Supervisor oversees and supports case management teams in providing quality protection services to vulnerable individuals, including children, women, and persons with specific needs. The role ensures adherence to protection principles, case management standards, and confidentiality protocols, while strengthening staff capacity and ensuring effective coordination with service providers.
Qualifications / Level Requirements
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related Social Sciences.
Professional Experience:
-
Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience working as a Social Worker in Yemen, particularly in the provision of individual case management for vulnerable groups (children, women, and persons with specific needs).
Languages:
-
Native Arabic speaker with at least basic proficiency in written and spoken English.
Technical Knowledge:
-
Strong understanding of case management principles, SOPs, and best practices in child protection, GBV, and persons with specific needs.

Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance and supervision on complex cases.
-
Experience in coordinating with multi-sectoral partners and referral pathways.
-
Practical experience in implementing psychosocial support, including psychological first aid, counselling, referrals to specialized services, and follow-up mechanisms.

Proven capacity to supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to social workers, volunteers, and community-based networks.
-
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with partners, service providers, and referral pathways to ensure timely and effective support.
Case Management
-
Monitor and supervise the process of identifying protection cases by Social Workers (covering child protection, women’s protection, and persons with specific needs).

Supervise all activities related to Individual Case Management (ICM) in strict accordance with the established steps, related tools, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Provide technical support and guidance to Social Workers on case management, with a particular focus on complex or difficult cases; strengthen their knowledge, skills, and confidence in handling cases.

Conduct joint field visits with Social Workers to ensure effective case follow-up and quality service delivery.

Ensure that all urgent and critical child protection cases are addressed immediately and reported to the direct line manager for timely intervention.

Maintain close coordination with the Project Manager, including holding regular meetings to discuss cases in depth and to ensure timely, effective, and appropriate provision of assistance.

Conduct regular individual supervision meetings with Social Workers and ensure comprehensive case discussions; organize and/or participate in case management meetings and case conferences.

Carry out client satisfaction surveys with beneficiaries and caregivers to ensure the provision of quality ICM services.

Ensure staff compliance with data protection protocols and confidentiality requirements.
-
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to build the technical capacity of Social Workers in areas such as Individual Case Management (ICM) and Psychosocial Support (PSS).

Engage with community-based groups, organizations, and volunteers to strengthen their capacity to identify vulnerable protection cases in a timely manner.

Participate in trainings and deliver capacity-building sessions as requested by the Project Manager (PM).
Coordination & Representation
-
Support the Project Manager and contribute actively to the monthly update of the service mapping of organizations and service providers operating in the area, taking proactive steps to remain well-informed about the available services.

Attend coordination meetings, workshops, and trainings as requested by the Project Manager.
Monitoring & Reporting
-
Ensure that all case files are properly maintained and contain complete, accurate, and detailed information on the case background, case plan, follow-up activities, and actions taken; ensure that all case files are systematically finalized and archived.

Regularly review samples of intake and assessment forms to evaluate the quality of case management records; share findings with relevant Social Workers for on-the-job coaching and with the Protection Coordinator for learning and training purposes.

Provide timely written feedback on protection incidents, trends, and key concerns or issues requiring attention.

Undertake any other tasks assigned to achieve the project’s objectives effectively.
