Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering, construction supervision, contract management, infrastructure design review, and implementation follow-up. 

Minimum years of relevant work experience

• Experience in reviewing technical designs, BoQs, technical specifications, and engineering reports. 
• Experience in reviewing payment invoices, measurement sheets, and implementation documents. 
• Experience in preparation of tender documents and participation in tender evaluations. 
• Experience in preparation of technical reports, NTFs, and contract amendment documents. 
• Experience in coordination with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders. 
• Good command of engineering software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ETABS, and MS Office applications. 
• Knowledge of international construction standards and FIDIC contract conditions is an asset. 
• A proven track of excellent communication skills both oral and written. 
• Proven ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams and liaison with local authorities. 
• Knowledge of UNDP program management and financial procedures and policies. 
• Knowledge and working experience with UNDP, the United Nations system, and INGOs particularly with governance and recovery program. 

Required Language(s)  

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic is required.
