Requirements for the position

Education:

• Essential certificate or diploma in automotive mechanics

Experience: 

• Demonstrable mechanical experience. (Minimum 2 years’ experience).

Languages: 

• English and Arabic

Knowledge: 

• Essential driving license for vehicles.

Main objectives

Performing autonomously, complex / advanced repairs, servicing and maintenance of MSF vehicles motors and generators according to MSF process, standards, and procedures, in order to ensure vehicles, motors and  generators are in perfect running conditions

Main  

responsibilities  and tasks

• Performing autonomously and ensuring, all necessary complex / advanced maintenance, repair and  servicing of MSF vehicles and mechanical equipment to ensure they are in perfect condition. This includes the following tasks:  
• Performing maintenance according to the instructions in the logbook, ensuring all type of services to all vehicles are done on time (service A, B, C, and special services as per the logbook). 
• Assist drivers when they carry on the weekly checkup by ensuring the checkup is done correctly and in the  right time.  
• Testing all vehicles after each service is concluded and before it is handed back to its driver Keeping record of vehicle’s driver remarks, and carrying out repairs if needed (vehicles and generators) and update the log book on each task done. Reporting to the workshop supervisor any problem related to MSF vehicles 
• In the case of a breakdown, making a diagnosis, informing the workshop supervisor and after approval carrying out any complex / advanced repairs needed.  
• Assisting in the briefing or training of drivers regarding vehicle services and maintenance Responsible for the equipment and tools, including fire extinguishers, checking that they are correct and safe to be used, maintaining and renewing them when necessary and keeping the inventory updated.  Keeping working area clean and tidy. 
• Ensuring that all record sheets and books related to maintenance are always completed and up to date..
