Job Title: HR Officer
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: HRD Manager

Job Purpose

Deliver the organization’s human resources activities and training programs in accordance with the organization’s HRD plan to enhance the performance of individual employees and meet the current and future human resources needs of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in scheduling applicants
  • Screen applicants before final interview when needed
  • To deal with the referral system
  • Report on staff shortage that affects business performance in his area of responsibility.
  • Address employee concerns; investigate grievances and take necessary action to manage employee relations
  • Contribute to the efficient delivery of HR services to employees
  • Aid in the implementation of policies and procedures regarding hygiene, safety and security, for accommodation facilities in order to maintain adherence to organizational requirements
  • Manage compliance of transportation vendors to agreed terms in line with established guidelines
  • Manage employee uniforms and attendance in the stores and ensure proper related documentation
  • Process end-to-end payroll for hourly and salaried employees, including tips, overtime, split shifts, and variable schedules common in F&B operations.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, wage orders, and hospitality industry standards.
  • Coordinate with HR to manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring correct setup and termination of employees in the payroll system.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including attendance, leave balances, and shift differentials.
  • Prepare and distribute pay slips and ensure accurate deductions for taxes, benefits, and garnishments.
  • Manage payroll taxes and filings in accordance with government regulations.
  • Handle staff timesheets.
  • Work closely with the attendance and scheduling data.
  • Support audits and ensure the confidentiality and security of payroll information.
  • Strong understanding of payroll and labor laws relevant to shift-based and tipped employees.
  • Experience with payroll software
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunities to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work
  • Apply and follow Human Resources corporate policies and relevant procedures and instructions
  • Provide training and feedback to direct repartees when required

Specifications (Qualifications, Experience, and Skills)

Minimum Qualifications/education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or human resource management

Minimum experience

  • 3+ years in Human Resources Department
