Operating within the Republic of Yemen, the foundation specializes in youth capacity building and the development of distinguished community leaders who contribute to the advancement of society across various aspects of life. The foundation provides emergency relief, rehabilitation, and a range of developmental assistance. It also responds to the urgent needs of the population .Its main office is located in Aden Governorate – Al-Mansoura – Rimy .
Summary:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant is responsible for supporting the effective tracking of project activities, outputs, and results to ensure quality implementation and accountability. The role focuses on assisting with data collection, verification, and entry, while ensuring that monitoring tools are properly used and that feedback from beneficiaries is collected and reported. The M&E Assistant plays a key role in supporting learning and improvement across projects by providing timely and accurate information to the program and M&E teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Monitor the field activities based on project implementation plan through MFD monitoring and evaluation tools.
2. Conduct assessments as needed, facilitate focus groups and other qualitative data collection exercises
3. Monitor activity implementation progress against objectives and work plans
4. Lead in conducting post-distribution monitoring with targeted communities
5. Collect, enter, and clean data on a monthly basis, depending on project requirements, while ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
6. Assist in developing operational monitoring tools (checklists, questionnaires, databases, interview and survey forms, etc.)
7. Prepare weekly/monthly schedule of monitoring and evaluation related activities.
8. Assist the MEAL team in the analysis of quantitative and qualitative data, producing graphics and summaries, dashboards and draft reports with presentation the results of the analysis
9. Organize, collect, compile and document all program and MEAL-related data and files, ensuring that all records are properly organized and stored
10. Assist the M&E Officer in identifying methods of data collection .
11. Support M&E and, Program Management Department throughout all phases of the program including identification and design, establishment and planning, execution, monitoring and evaluation and wrapping up.
12. Develop an effective flow of information channels to ensure effective and efficient communication.
13. Bring to the attention of management details that might affect program execution.
14. Conduct day-to-day monitoring to assess overall performance and achievements.
15. Carry out quarterly evaluation through different techniques such as surveys, group discussions, observations on the field, case studies, interviews, etc.
16. Work with operational teams on development and follow up of specific M&E tools.
17. Assist the M&E officer in analyzing quantitative and qualitative data and draft reports presenting the results
18. Record and receive complaints and feedback from beneficiaries to ensure secure data and deliver any other responsibility assigned by M&E Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 -3 years of MEAL experience in humanitarian or development contexts.
- Proficient with data-collection and analysis tools (KoboCollect, Power BI, Excel).
- Strong report-writing, documentation, and archiving skills.
- Solid understanding of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed‐method evaluation methodologies.
- Strong conceptual knowledge and understanding and application of SPHERE and Humanitarian Standards and Principles in rural, conflict and recovery context.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office including Word, Excel, power point etc.)
- Good verbal and written communication in English.
- Highly organized, with good attention to detail and developed ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines and organize work.
- Proven experience to work under pressure in a difficult situation with minimal supports and resources. Ability to plan and work independently.
