Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team in Yemen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and supporting enterprise-level network and network security solutions of different well-known vendors including but not limited to Switches, Routers, wireless, firewalls, IPS, NAC systems. 
This is a senior, hands-on technical role that requires good expertise in network and network security, infrastructure security projects, with the ability to work on complex security architectures, deployments, integrations, and ongoing operational support in professional enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Design, implement, install, configure, and support network and network security solutions, including:

• L2 and L3 switches (Access, Distribution and Core).
• High end routers such as Cisco ASR.
• Firewalls and internet gateways.

2.    Proven knowledge and work experience on 

• Endpoint and server security solutions
• Email security, web security, and application security solutions
• Web application filtering and application control
• NFV, SDN, VRF and SD-WAN
• Network security architecture and segmentation

3.    Lead and execute cybersecurity projects, including:

• Wired and wireless network systems replacement or perform new installation.
• Firewall replacement and security modernization initiatives
• Network system upgrades, migrations, and configuration enhancements

4.    Manage and support network and security technologies, including:

• Dynamic routing with different standard protocols such as BGP and OSPF
• VLAN, VX-LAN, HSRP, VRRP, GLBP, VSS, VPC, VTP, PAgP, LACP, and STP technologies
• Traditional and SD-Access wireless
• 802.1x, QoS, and AAA protocols
• Firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, IPS/IDS
• Systems monitoring and logging systems

5.    Perform security hardening of servers, networks, and applications in accordance with best practices
6.    Troubleshoot complex network, firewall, VPN, and network connectivity issues
7.    Provide advanced troubleshooting and act as an escalation point for complex issues across network and cybersecurity security systems.
8.    Ensure high network availability, security, and reliability of customer environments in line with best practices and SLAs.
9.    Provide on-site and remote support to customers as required, primarily for project delivery and escalations.
10.    Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
11.    Support presales activities, including technical design, solution architecture, and customer workshops when required.

Required Skills / Experience

1.    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related field.
2.    Minimum 3+ years of strong hands-on experience in network and network security field.
3.    Strong experience with network and network security devices from different vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos, Palo Alto Networks. Huawei, or other well-known vendors.

4.    Solid experience in:

• Hardening Windows and Linux servers
• Security policies and access control models
• Troubleshoot complex network and network security issues

5.    Good knowledge of network and network security best practices and frameworks
