Médecins Sans Frontières - France is looking for Yemeni nationals to recruit for the following position:

PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Location:  Amman Surgical Project based in Coordination office – Sanaa.
Contract duration: 6 Months (renewable)                  
Contract type: Full time contract.
Report to (Hierarchical): Network physio supervisor.
Reports to (Functional): Network and Planning Coordinator/ Physio manager

MAIN PURPOSE:

Following individual treatment programs for the patient in their home countries. Networking and Mapping of Physiotherapy activities/Centers in referrals countries. Coordinate with Physio centers in referrals home countries for patient referrals.
Support MSF projects mainly in building physiotherapy capacity, and training MSF staff, other actors and MoH.
 
KEY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Locate, coordinate and communicate with the Physio centers in Yemen and evaluate their capacities, and define the referral possibilities lines for the patients with the coordination and support of the Physio Manager and the support of the MLOs.
  • Refer the patients to the physio centers in north of Yemen
  • Provide a physio follow-up to the patients all along their treatment pathway, from the identification to the final discharge.
  • Provide technical support for the physio centers in the north of Yemen (when needed and regarding the referred cases)
  • Collect feedback about the physio patient’s status and share it with the validation committee, MLOs and physio 
  • In collaboration with the Physiotherapy manager/Network Coordinator, creates the tools, protocols and process that will be used to assess the RSP patients remotely after their return to Yemen.
  • Field visits upon request of the Network coordinator’s home countries to explore the physio referral possibility, assess the physio center capacities, strengthen the collaboration and define referral pathways.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: Essential, Physiotherapist official degree/diploma 
  • Experience: 2 years’ experience in physical rehabilitation (orthopaedic is an asset) in health facility and/or NGOs.  MSF experience be preferred.
  • Languages: Essential mission working language (English, Arabic)at least intermate level of English and fluency in Arabic.
  • Competencies: Results, teamwork, flexibility, commitment, service
