SOUL for Development is a national NGO, founded in February 1997 by a group of Yemeni professionals out of their desire to achieve a higher quality of life for Yemeni women and children. Since its inception, it has implemented over 80 development interventions in 18 out of Yemen's 22 governorates, benefiting over 5, 500,000 people. As a result, the organization has established itself among the most effective civil society organizations in Yemen that are working on health, education, and WASH issues in support of women, children, and youth. Operating out of its Headquarters in Sana’a and its offices in Taiz and Aden, SOUL, provides critical educational, health, and WASH services to urban and rural communities. 

Job Information

• Job Title:  Project Case Management Assistant.
• Location: Aden & Lahj.
• Contract Type: Full Time.
• Contract Duration: 9 Months.
• Start Date: 01 Nov 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the identification and registration of children/families/persons at risk of abuse, exploitation, neglect or violence.
• Conduct needs-assessments in collaboration with senior case-workers and caregivers.
• Develop individual case-management plans under supervision, including referrals to health, nutrition, protection, psychosocial, legal or other services.
• Facilitate and follow up on referrals to partner agencies, government services and community-based mechanisms.
• Conduct follow-up visits or check-ins to monitor progress of cases, update plans and document outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential case files and records (paper and/or digital) in line with organizational case-management protocols.
• Participate in case conferences, team meetings and referral coordination meetings.
• Contribute to service-mapping, updating referral directories, liaising with community-based committees or actors.
• Provide input into weekly/monthly reports on case-management activities, trends, challenges and beneficiary feedback.
• Promote safeguarding, confidentiality, protection principles and do no harm in all activities.
• Support capacity-building initiatives (e.g., helping orient volunteers/community workers, sharing good practices) if required.
• Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma or degree in social work, psychology, human rights, child protection, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 1 year of experience implementing child-protection or case-management programmes in humanitarian or development contexts.
• Experience working with children/adolescents, families and vulnerable populations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to engage sensitively with children, caregivers, communities.
• Ability to work under pressure, in mobile settings (field sites, camps, mobile centres) with some travel.
• Good documentation and data-management skills; computer literacy (MS Office, spreadsheets) preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic; English desirable.
• Understanding of protection, child-safeguarding, confidentiality and referral principles.
