Duration of Appointment: Two (2) months, with possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds

Context/Reporting line:
Under the overall supervision of the Programme Officer (Protection) and the direct supervision of Senior Program Associate in the area, the incumbent will be responsible of assisting in coordinating protection case management services, field team, and other protection activities in the operational sites of IOM in line with organizational Standards of Conduct.
Core Functions / Responsibilities
1. Provide case management services to migrants, IDPs, and host communities, including women and girls in vulnerable situations.
2. Compile and organize case management forms in line with established procedures and tools, and support updating the case management data tracker in coordination with the Senior Protection Assistant and MEAL Assistant.
3. Maintain coordination with service providers to facilitate referrals and ensure a coordinated response.
4. Support the implementation of project activities related to Voluntary Humanitarian Return (VHR), under the guidance of the Senior Protection Assistant.
5. Contribute to data collection and documentation to support preparation of project and protection monitoring reports.
6. Participate in outreach and field visits to conduct beneficiary assessments, particularly for individuals facing difficulties accessing the Migrant Response Point.
7. Assist in delivering awareness-raising sessions for migrants, IDPs, and host communities and support drafting activity reports.
8. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- University degree (B.S.c) in social science, business administration or other relevant discipline with three years of relevant experience, or
- School diploma with five years of relevant experience.
Experience and Skills:
- Strong practical understanding of GBV, child protection and general protection case management procedures and processes;
- Understanding or experience in psychological first aid;
- Understanding of standards and practices in migrant protection and assistance;
- Understanding of protection principles and experience in humanitarian emergency response;
- Willingness to be mobile and support emergency responses;
- Prior professional experience with a humanitarian organization is required;
- Excellent writing skills;
- Good level of IT literacy (MS. Word & Excel).
- Work prioritization and ability to multitask.
- Shares knowledge and experience.
- Ability to work and act under pressure with discretion in politically sensitive environment.
- Ready to work independently, under tight deadlines.
