Job Title: Senior Network and Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior network and Cybersecurity Engineer to join its team in Yemen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, configuring, and supporting enterprise network security and cybersecurity solutions, including firewalls, network security systems, and security applications for both internal and customer environments.
This is a senior, hands-on technical role requiring strong expertise in network security, infrastructure security, and enterprise cybersecurity projects.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Design, implement, install, configure, and support cybersecurity solutions, including:

• Firewalls and security gateways
• Network security systems and appliances
• Endpoint and server security solutions
• Email security, web security, and application security solutions

2.    Lead and execute cybersecurity projects, including:

• Firewall replacement and security modernization initiatives
• Security upgrades, migrations, and enhancements

3.    Manage and support security technologies, including:

• Firewall policies, NAT, VPNs, IPS/IDS
• Web application filtering and application control
• Security monitoring and logging systems

4.    Perform security hardening of servers, networks, and applications in accordance with best practices
5.    Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities and implement security controls
6.    Troubleshoot complex security, firewall, VPN, and network connectivity issues
7.    Provide advanced troubleshooting and act as an escalation point for complex issues across network and cybersecurity security systems.
8.    Ensure high availability, security, and reliability of customer environments in line with best practices and SLAs.
9.    Provide on-site and remote support to customers as required, primarily for project delivery and escalations.
10.    Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
11.    Support presales activities, including technical design, solution architecture, and customer workshops when required.

Required Skills / Experience

1.    Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
2.    Minimum 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in cybersecurity and network security engineering
3.    Strong experience with security systems such as:

• Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos, or similar vendors)
• VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
• Security features such as IPS/IDS, web filtering, application control, XDR, SIEM, SOAR and antivirus system 

4.    Solid experience in:

• Network security architecture and segmentation
• Hardening Windows and Linux servers
• Security policies and access control models
• Cybersecurity solutions installation and maintaining
• Troubleshoot complex security and firewall issues

5.    Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (Routing, Switching, VLANs, TCP/IP)
6.    Good knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and security frameworks
7.    Good Knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
8.    Senior level of experience with:

• security vendors and platforms such as:  Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Sophos, Check Point
• SIEM solutions (Splunk, FortiSIEM, or similar)
• EDR/XDR and endpoint security solutions
• 9.    Relevant certifications are a plus:

• CCNP Security
