Call for the External Audit Service

Background: 

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. 
MSF started working in Yemen since 1986 and have been present in the country continuously since 2007.
MSF Spain-Yemen mission is seeking external Audit firms to undertake the Audit of its account for the period January 1st, 2024, to December 31st, 2024.

Objective of the Audit: the objective of External Audit is to provide an independent professional opinion whether the financial statements represent a true and fair view of the MSF Spain Yemen mission as at 31, December 2024 and are prepared in compliance with the relevant regulatory frameworks and administrative procedures.

Scope of the Audit

1-    Conducting independent audit of MSF Spain Yemen Mission in line with International 
Standards on Auditing.
2-    Expressing an opinion on whether the financial statements are prepared, in all material respects, in accordance with the applicable financial reporting standards and frameworks, whether the Mission has maintained proper books of accounts, and whether the accompanying financial statements give a true and fair view of the financial position and performance of the organization.

Audit Duration: The auditing process shall be completed within 4 weeks.
Deliverables:  Audited Financial Statement 6 original copies (3 in Arabic and 3 in English)

Qualification of the Audit Firm: 

1-    The audit firms based in Yemen having affiliation/membership with an internationally reputed audit firm.
2-    Renewed Commercial registration, Professional licenses & valid tax ID.
3-    Relevant experience in Auditing Humanitarian Organizations

Location for the performance of services: MSF Spain office Sanaa.
