Position : Cash Project Officer
Duty Station: Aden, with frequent travel to Tur Al-Baha, Al-Mudarabah & Ras Al-Arah, and Al-Musaymir districts (Lahj Governorate)
Contract Type: Full-time (subject to budget availability)

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning and Supervision

• Oversee daily project activities in targeted districts, focusing on Unconditional Cash Transfers (UCT) and Multi-Purpose Cash Assistance (MPCA).
• Develop detailed work plans for field teams and assign responsibilities accordingly.
• Ensure implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in compliance with donor (YHF) policies.

2. Team Management

• Supervise and mentor project assistants and field staff, providing technical guidance and support.
• Conduct regular team meetings to address operational challenges.
• Identify training needs and support capacity-building initiatives.

3. Coordination and Representation

• Represent YKF in meetings with local authorities, communities, and partners.
• Coordinate with community leaders to ensure acceptance and smooth implementation of activities.
• Promote cross-sector collaboration to ensure integrated programming.

4. Monitoring and Reporting

• Oversee the implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) plan in coordination with the relevant team.
• Supervise field data collection and ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and final progress reports.
• Document field activities, success stories, and case studies.

5. Risk Management and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safeguarding policies, including PSEA, child protection, and safety standards.
• Identify operational risks and develop mitigation measures.
• Immediately report any protection concerns or misconduct cases.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Economics, Food Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience with local or international NGOs in food security and livelihoods projects, with proven experience in cash assistance programming (UCT & MPCA).
• Strong background in community engagement, mobilization, and data management.
• Good command of English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical thinking and excellent communication skills.
