2.    Job Purpose

The Community Facilitator is responsible for supporting community-level engagement, mobilization, and awareness activities across targeted locations. The role ensures effective communication between the project team and beneficiaries, facilitates participation, and supports the implementation of sectoral activities (WASH, Protection, and FSL) at the field level.

3.    Key Responsibilities

Community Engagement s Mobilization

• Facilitate community meetings, focus group discussions (FGDs), and awareness sessions.
• Mobilize beneficiaries for project activities (distributions, trainings, campaigns).
• Support inclusive participation of women, youth, elderly, and persons with disabilities.

Implementation Support

• Assist in organizing and implementing field activities across sectors (WASH, Protection, Cash/FSL).
• Support beneficiary identification, registration, and verification processes.
• Ensure adherence to project targeting criteria and transparency.
• Support the water trucking activity monitoring.

Communication s Feedback

• Serve as a communication link between the community and project team.
• Collect community feedback, complaints, and suggestions and report them through established mechanisms (e.g., BCFM).
• Support awareness on PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse).

Monitoring s Reporting 

• Provide regular field updates to the Project Field Coordinator.
• Assist in data collection and basic documentation of activities.
• Support post-distribution monitoring (PDM) and follow-up visits.

Coordination

• Coordinate with community leaders, local authorities, and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure community acceptance and ownership of project interventions.

• Attendance sheets for sessions and meetings
• Community feedback logs
• Field visit reports

5.    Required Qualifications s Experience

• Secondary education minimum (Bachelor’s degree preferred in social sciences or related field).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in community-based or humanitarian work.
• Experience in WASH, Protection, or Cash programming is an asset.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work in challenging field conditions.
