Job Title: Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Yemen. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage systems, HCI platforms, operating systems, and network environments.
This is a senior-level, hands-on technical role requiring strong experience in infrastructure projects, troubleshooting, optimization, and the support of business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

1.    Design, implement, and support customer infrastructure solutions across on-premises, HCI, hybrid, and cloud environments, including:

• Physical and virtual servers, HCI platforms, and storage systems
• Network infrastructure (LAN/WAN)
• Microsoft Azure and/or other public cloud platforms

2.    Deploy, configure, and manage core infrastructure technologies, including:

• Windows Server and/or Linux Server
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
• Virtualization and HCI platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox)
• Application and platform solutions such as Citrix, MS Azure, Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online, and related services

3.    Lead and deliver customer projects, including:

• Infrastructure, HCI, and cloud migrations
• System upgrades, platform refreshes, and performance optimization
• Hybrid and cloud adoption initiatives

4.    Design, implement, and support:

• Backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions (e.g., Veeam)
• Monitoring, performance, and security solutions

5.    Provide advanced troubleshooting and act as an escalation point for complex issues across servers, storage, virtualization, cloud, and networking.
6.    Ensure high availability, security, and reliability of customer environments in line with best practices and SLAs.
7.    Produce and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
8.    Provide on-site and remote support to customers as required, primarily for project delivery and escalations.
9.    Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
10.    Support presales activities, including technical design, solution architecture, and customer workshops when required.

Required Skills / Experience

1.    5+ years’ experience in a senior infrastructure / system engineering role, ideally within an MSP or consulting environment.
2.    Strong hands-on experience with on-premises, HCI, hybrid, and cloud infrastructure.
3.    Proven expertise with Windows Server and Active Directory (DNS, DHCP, Group Policy); Linux experience is a plus.
4.    Solid experience with virtualization and HCI platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
5.    Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions, preferably Veeam.
6.    Practical experience with Microsoft Exchange / Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, and related services.
7.    Experience deploying and supporting Citrix environments.
8.    Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, hybrid connectivity, identity).
9.    Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to act as an escalation point for complex issues.
10.    Proven experience delivering infrastructure projects, migrations, and upgrades.
11.    Ability to produce clear technical documentation and solution designs.
12.    Experience mentoring junior engineers.
13.    English (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to customers and stakeholders.
14.    Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, Citrix, Veeam, Azure) are desirable.
